Hey everyone! I know I was on a two week hiatus but I am back and I’ll slowly start blogging on my normal schedule. I had another sinus infection that came with earache one week and then the following week I wanted to go on a mini social media detox. I’m not a frequent social media poster but I do catch myself scrolling through social media often so I wanted to take a break. However, I’m glad to be back.
On 04.07.2018 I officially turned 30! It was filled with love, laughter, food and great company. As I look back at my twenties, I reflect on the many mistakes made but also, on the many lessons learned. I got to see myself blossom into women hood by overcoming many obstacles, by getting up every time life knocked me down and by living life selfishly.
My sweet husband surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of red roses on my birthday and I couldn’t be happier. It was a rainy Saturday but I wasn’t going to let them ruin my birthday outfit. Since I was celebrating it at home with friends, I decided to wear a simple floral dress that fit comfortably. I will 100% credit this beautiful dress to my little sister, whom gifted this to me as a birthday present; I will say she also picked this out. I wanted simple pair of shoes to wear with this dress so I paired it with a pair of black mules and my DIY basket weave “purse”. I purchased this wood basket container at a thrift store for $2.00 and I knew I wanted it as a purse. This was a fairly easy DIY project since the container had to handles which leads me to believe at one point there might have been straps. I know it was not meant as a bag the enclosure to this is not the most reliable but I was able to secure the latch by enforcing the enclosure. It really turned out as nice and unique clutch but I did not wear it long enough to determine durability. I’ll be wearing this again, so I’ll keep you updated.
