If there is one outfit you can never go wrong with is, denim on denim. Just like denim, it’s a classic and classic never goes out of style. I wanted an easy no brainer outfit for work because (and if you’re office allows) go ahead and pull out your denim shirt and rock that denim on denim look. It’s effortless and a no brainer AND you can practically accessorize it in any which way you feel.
Outfit Details
I don’t really know what era acid wash became a thing but all I know is that in 5th grade, I started the trend. My mother accidentally bleached my favorite pair of blue jeans. My options were either I wear them or donate them. Being the rebellious, fearless and fashion risk-taker I’ve always been, I said, meh, I’ll wear them to school. The next day at lunch time, Lesly, an oversized flunked out 5th grader had A LOT to say about my “poor girl” jeans but I laughed it out. I admit though, my cheeks got extremely red and I do remember being embarrassed but I got over it and wore them over and over again. As an adult, I’m still wearing acid wash but of course, I traded in the jeans to a top. In order to keep this casual cool, I added a pair or leopard heels and an oversized coat for warmth.
