Things are starting to finally get warm around here and it’s time to wear two seasons in one day. I’ve been playing around with lighter sweaters and cardigans as of late in order to stay warm and cool. It is casual Friday’s so I wanted to wear something that I could wear to the office and happy hour. The go-to here? Jeans and heels.

Crochet is not only made by grandma’s sitting on a rocking chair on a cold winter night while their lazy cat is curled up in front of the fireplace. Crochet instantly reminds us of our grandmothers and hot cocoa but it’s more than that sweater you only wear once a year. If worn correctly it can spruce up any outfit and make you look chic while feeling comfortable. I found this sweater at Goodwill with no tags on it so I’m assuming that some grandmother made this for their granddaughter and for some sad reason it ended up in Goodwill. I did find some very pretty crochet options here and here, although they don’t come at the comforting price of grandma’s love. This is an oversized sweater and in order to avoid looking frumpy, I decided to wear these boyfriend jeans. Truth be told, they fit me a bit more fitted then loose but I didn’t want to wear skinny jeans. I kept the jeans rolled up at the ankles in order to expose the laser cut booties and a vintage metal mesh clutch. This entire outfit was also thrifted, except the shoes.
