There is something amusing to me about coats. I love them in all lengths, cuts, colors, fabrics. shapes etc…I think that every girl ( weather permitting ) should have a very nice coat. Believe it or not, I strongly believe that coats can make or break an outfit. It is like that last ( or first, depending on which way you look at it) statement piece that provides that POW to any outfit. A good coat can make your entire look polished and in some cases sophisticated or very well put together.
The Outfit:
When I saw this coat, I knew I had to have it right away. The cut, color and fabric are just perfect; and, It is exactly what I was looking for. The plum color reminds of me of dark winter nights and cozy mornings. This is one of those pieces I am going to own for a long time ( considering I live in Florida, Ha!).
The rest of the country is being slammed with inches of never ending snow and in Florida we are being hit with a “cold front”. Notice I say, “cold front” because compared to everyone else, it is actually fairly cool. This is exactly why I opted for jeans this morning, a sweater, boots and the coat. I kept this look very casual since it is a school day.
Now, I am going to brag about this sweater 🙂 . This is actually another lucky find at Goodwill. This is no other than a Alexander Wang sweater and I scored it for only, $3.00! Yup! I could not believe my eyes! I must add, that this sweater is incredibly warm and itchy, which is why I wore a camisole in the inside. Despite of this tiny inconvenience, the sweater is really nice and I love it. Ok, I’m done bragging.
